Replaced a scheduling
system in Excel by VB4
one, for a printing plant.
This system allows scheduling
for extruders, laminators,
printers, slitters, converters
allowing for jobs to be
moved by drag and drop
on a True DB Grid based
forms. A calculate function
is used to determine the
new start times of the
jobs once they have been
rescheduled. The software
uses an involved coloring
mechanism to indicate
differing states of printing
jobs. A download and upload
mechanism is used to communicate
with a Sun Unix server.
The software manages up
to forty different machines
and the job information
is stored in an Access
database.
