Description:
Assisted a tax software
company developing electronic
lodgment software (ELS)
to Australian Tax Office
(ATO). This work involved
writing a serial communication
module to implement the
ZMODEM protocol for sending
tax returns and interacting
with the ATO. A vt100
emulator and a state machine
driving the Autels protocol
was implemented for manual
and automatic access respectively.
Other work involved writing
a compression module based
on 'freeze', a multi column
editor, printing driver
on PCL5 and maintenance
on the entire package.
The system is written
under DOS using Borland
C++ v3.1, C-Tree as the
database engine and Windows
toolkit as the GUI front
end.
